Pulling really bad to the left

Featured Replies

Evening folk, just got in my car for a drive, everything was fine untill I put my foot down and it pulled extremely badly to the left, I mean really bad. It drives fine normally and goes in a straight line but when you put your foot down it just wants to turn to the left straight away, anyone have any ideas? Checked all tyres and they seem fine, will have a look under the car tomorrow. Wierd how it's all of a sudden started? Was fine this morning

Too many b00zt.

Get it in the air and have a play with the wheels. May be a track rod, ball joint, console bushes or something similar....

Keep an ear out for any strange noises too!

when this happened to my fabia, I jacked the front up and waas able to move the wheel to the right and left by about 1-2cm

was solved/greatly reduced by a new lower arm ball joint

Will do tomorrow, I had my console bushes changed to powerflex ones a week ago wonder if something has been fitted incorrectly

Unless you're a total spanner. It's hard to fit the powerflex bushes wrong.

Doubtful if they're normal concentric ones.

It will need re-tracking after fitting the bushes, why it's not part of the fitting service, I don't know.

It's a bit like having new headlamps fitted without them being re-aligned !!

So is mine.. but i have a slow puncture, getting it sorted tomorrow

I haven't had it tracked since but the car has been fine, untill this evening it's as if something has come off the car, but surely if that were the case it would pull to the left all the time not just when I accelerate?

Maybe something amiss with the Right front rear bush, as you are accelerating the Right front wheel is moving forward slightly thus steering to the Left.

Perhaps you've knocked tracking out somehow. Toe out can cause it to do just what you describe.

Wouldn't it be pulling constantly too the left and not just when I put my foot down thow? Like I say it's been fine for a week or so wonder why it's just suddenly happened, all will be revealed tomorrow when I get under the car hopefully

Needs checking for play the the wheels. Something's definitely not right.

Front console bush bolt is loose at a guess, or threads are stripped this causes the arm to move around and a inch
