First Mini Detail

Featured Replies

Had the car over a year now and this was the first chance I had to detail her.

No before or during pictures as I wanted to finish before the rugby, so I started at 9am and finished at 2.30 just in time to grab some grub before kick off, I did miss the first 20 mins but never mind.

Firstly snow foamed with magifoam and autobrite snow foam lance and left to dwell for 15 mins

Washed using dodo juice born to be mild,

Alloys cleaned with hot wheels,

Clayed and tar removed,

Snow foamed

Polished using Poorboys SSR 2 then finished with SSR1 using a DA polisher.

Waxed using collinite 476 wax.

I may purchase my self a new 'summer' wax soon and demote collinite to my winter wax then. Thinking of buying DoDo Juice purple haze but will do some research before hand on what works best for the same price bracket.

Anyway enough talking here's some pictures ;)

Nice work...Same colour as mine

But I would get some sealer on the Alloys after using Hot wheels

BTW......Don't bother with DDJ...get some Sonax BSD instead....(you can use this on your alloys too)

Very nice indeed Sir - top job and great results!!!

Oh by the way.... might be worth updating the thread title to remove typo  :giggle:

My thoughts entirely, threads about that sort of thing should be banned :)

Half asleep this am. And using iPad is my excuse ;) how do I change the title anyway?

I'm not really bothered about these wheels at the moment. New ones are coming in next few weeks which will be sealed etc before fitting then the ones on will be going for refurb :)

Click edit, then full editor (or something similar)......should allow you to change the heading

Here:

In your first post, click 'Edit' > click 'Use Full Editer' and Change the title

For `grip` read `grit`.

Sorry.

Sorry.

It's terrible the muck that builds up in the scuttle drains.
