Speaker Cables

Featured Replies

Dunno if anyone can helkp but no harm in asking is there.

So scum borrowed my HU the other night and so I am going to start fitting my CARPC. The thing I want to know is which wires inthe plugs which went to my head unit are for which speakers as I am going to go from the CARPC to an AMP and from the AMP direct to the speakers.

The below linked diagram should show this - it's a VW document, but there's only a couple of differences between this and the Symphony, of which the speaker layout isn't one of them...

If the colours don't match up, enlist a friend to connect an AA battery between each set of 2 speaker wires one at a time to identify which is which by listening for a little crackle at each speaker. then all you need to do is check the phasing once your'e up and running.

Cheerrs for that will let you all know how I get on

The speaker cables will probably be coming from the brown coloured ISO connector...about 8 wires - 4 pairs. The other ISO connector (with red, yellow and black coloured wires - from what I remember) should be the one with the power related wires.
