EGR and boost leaks

Featured Replies

I noticed my EGR and turbo pipes were very dirty at the weekend so gave them clean to check if they are leaking and they are :-( so I have cable tied the boost pipe (seems to have helped but will need replacing). My question is my EGR seems to be leaking out of this little hole in the photo: post-102368-0-12728900-1394547391_thumb.jpg

I'll source a delete but 1. How urgent is this? And 2. Is this indicative of something else about to go bang? Don't seem to be losing oil.

Self tappers!

Egr shouldn't be leaking from there see if someone has a second hand one

Mines leaking out of that hole too!

Although my egr was fine when I took it off a couple of weeks ago, my mate has a 53' plate vRS and his is also leaking from here.... will be removing his egr soon enough.

It means that the valve is worn and the seal inside the valve is goosed.

Either replace, clean & map it out or bypass.
