Octavia ac clutch nut size.

Featured Replies

Hi everybody. I'm a newbie to Skoda and am sorry I didn't buy one years ago! I've bought a octavia 1.9 TDI estate mark 1 54 plate. I was going over it as you do and noticed that the clutch has popped off the ac compressor and was lying in the under tray. I only realised what it was when I put the tray back on and looked up online to figure out what it was. Can anyone tell me please what the nut size is and is it a locking nut of some type??? I'm hoping it's just a case of putting the clutch back on and getting the ac working. Thanks guys.

Thanks Rwbaldwin. I had a look at it today and it is the SD7V16. Will have a go when I get the part. Hopefully fingers crossed it will get my A/C working again. The shaft looks like it has plenty of teeth on it for the clutch plate to go onto it too. How does the home made tool work? Kinda not sure how to make it either. Will report back when it's on and running. This forum rocks. Thank you again. You've been a massive help.

Scrap that. Figured out the ac clutch tool. Looking at the clutch that came off I get what the three holes are for on it now. Doh!! So going to go to Skoda to get the nut unless you know a place where I could get it? Does the nut come with shims or do I need any? Thanks again.

If you PM me a real email address, I'll send you the Sanden SD Service Guide.
