does anyone know how to hardwire a road angel 2

Featured Replies

seen it advertised in halfords about hardwiring your road angel/sat nav into your car, saves the use of wires, they charge 50 quid, anyone know how its done?? or where you can get it done cheaper?

Find someone whos handy with car electrics, its not to difficult.

Id take a live feed off the relay plate myself and run the wires up. There is a perfect earth point to the right of the steering column.

Exactly the place I`ve ran mine its not that hard just takes a little patience when removinghte trim.

All Halfords do is wire in a fag lighter socket and tywrap it up behind the dash. They then just plug in the Road Angel behind the dash and rouet the cable up and out of the side of the dash.

If you know anything about car electrics it's a five minute job.

Cheers

Hardwired my RA2 & TomTom Go no problem. Got the feed from the right hand side fuse box just removed the cover and get a positive feed. Personally I just wired in a female Cigarette Lighter Adapter so can plug the RA2 Cable in to that as I'm sick of having to get new RA2 Cables so I can simply just unplug. Still fits in the GAP behind the cover well insulated of course.
