I have just had some new tyres fitted to my Fabia vRS, 215/40x17 Falken ZE512 87 W. I have driven about 50 miles since they were fitted and I must say I am quite Impressed with the performance of these Budget rated tyres. The tyres are less noisy than the Uniroyal Rain masters they replace (205/40/17) This may be down to the wide groove down the center and the blocks with are very close together. The tyres are directional and have a excellent wheel protector on the sidewall. They are Grippy in the dry and grip is good in the wet (although I do not push a tyre to it's limit) They also performed well under heavy braking (making sure no cars behind) The tyre pressures I use is 34 front and 32 rear which I think is about right. Ride quality is just the same as with the Uniroyals. I personally go for grip in a tyre as aposed to great milage and I'm quite confident these tyres will not dissapoint me

Noticed any different speedo readings in general. You're new tyre setup has a 1.34% bigger rolling radius than the 205/40 R17 setup from before.

Yes I did........The speedo was about 3mph out on the 205's. It's now just about spot on comparing it against a Road Angel..............Andy... PS' the car seems a bit differant to drive I think it sits on the road a bit better.
