Well how time flies when your having fun! This time last year I was busy visiting showrooms, making calls and trying to strike a deal, one sit in a showroom fresh car on launch weekend and it was love at first sight and I even placed my order the next day over the phone without even test driving! Any more launch weekend orderees out there with happy memories of this time last year?

A lot of people are still waiting on their's 

Yes indeed, went over and looked that weekend and ironically came away without any real intention of ordering one. It was only when I was being dragged round shops near to the Skoda dealers by SWMBO that she said she would quite like to have a look at the new Octavia that we went round, by then  they had a demonstrator on the road, went for a drive, came back thinking about it when the salesman said, why don't we take the car away unaccompanied for a couple of hours, was so impressed compared with the Toyota Yaris diesel "clockwork rat" I was using at the time and ordered that day. Initially ordered the car is denim blue, but was thinking about race blue or grey that I had to go back next day and make my mind up - stuck with denim in the end although a close call between the two blues.

Well, I didn't order on launch weekend but did go to dealer in the following week to take a look just before ordering a new golf as skoda dealer was just around the corner. It threw a spanner in works, then read the what car review which put the octavia in first place this helped my decision. I conceived my order on 31st march via carfile. I can't believe it was nearly a year ago either! Still a cracking car, one year on from when the initial "head seed" was planted and started growing!

I also ordered on the Friday of the launch weekend.

Looked over the Superb and Octy MK3 took me about 2mins to order the Octavia MK3.

Elegance 2.0 DSG Didn't even test drive as had 9 previous Skodas and as this was my 10th

have had no probs with any of them apart from in my MK2 has the aircon radiator changed.

No problems with my MK3
