Need a little help here VCDS

Featured Replies

I have a strange issue with my brake light, when i step on the brakepedal my rear fog light comes on. But only on the right side. (In denmark the rearfog is on leftside) i have coded my front fog lights as DRL but i havent touched anything in vcds that has to do with brakelights. But i now need a kind soul that can tell me how i can find my brakelight in vcds. So i can recode it

Please anyone.

Have a look through the attached. I would pull a controller map from your car and compare it to this one.

adpmap-09-5Q0-937-084-AA.xls

It could also be an electrical fault and not the changes through VCDS.

One thing to try is reset the lights back to factory and see if the fault is still there, if it is it's nothing to do with the changes made through VCDS it is an electrical fault.

Is it possible to find the brake lights in the vcds list,

Pull a controller adaptation map from your car for 09 - you will need the login code of 31347. It takes about 10 minutes.

You can then search the csv file generated for Brake and see which light functions are assigned as brake lights.

If you search the file I uploaded it is

(4)-Leuchte20BR LA71-Lichtfunktion A 20

(4)-Leuchte21BR RC8-Lichtfunktion A 21

(4)-Leuchte22BR MA57-Lichtfunktion A 22

If you have more than that assigned as Brake Lights you have found the problem.

The foglights are

(4)-Leuchte26NSL LA72-Lichtfunktion A 26

(4)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lichtfunktion A 27

See my post here about the rear foglights
