vrs service question

Featured Replies

hi, quick question for the experts....

how long should a major service take on a tfsi vrs?  one garage said two hours at a cost of £270 ish, another garage £280, both are indys.

If it does take 2 hours I just cant make the numbers add up.

2 hrs @ 60 each = 120

oil plugs & filters from ECP = 100 ish

so.... am i missing something or these garages being a bit greedy.

Also open to recomendations for a vag indy in cheshire (or as far south a stoke)

thanks

Is that with the dreaded VAT added-on afterwards ??

£249 all in with a Skoda Dealer......

For my 2012 vRS CR the local Skoda dealer quoted me £225 for the first variable service at 2 years &18K miles.  Local VAG specialist said £199.  I went to the dealer and the actual invoice was for £200.72p.  Labour element was £97.50 + VAT.  Parts were oil and pollen filters, screen wash and sump plug.  I had waited in the service reception area and the service took less than 1½ hours.

Riverside racing in Liverpool are a good bunch of lads, looked after my 06 VRS for the last 18months and my 1.8T VRS for 2 years before that. Can't fault them and they are also revo dealer and sorted me out for stage 2 on both cars.
