Fabia vRS Lowering Issues?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am looking to lower my Fabia vRS on coilovers and have the Octavia Spider wheels on with 205/40 tyres and just wanted to check if there are going to be any issues when lowering? For example rear spacers or shorter drop links?

Cheers!

It would depend on how low you intend going.

Shorter drop links maybe required.

Thanks for the reply. Looking to go roughly about 50mm??

You shouldn't have any issues at 50mm.

That's fab, thanks. :-)

Mine was lowered by the previous owner 9 years ago.

Seriously thinking of putting the original and barely used originals back on now, with all the horrendous pot holes making bareable comfort an absolute virtually impossibilty and misery these days.

Personally wouldn't have put them on in the first place tbh

I lowered mine 50ish mm with AP's and was advised by the guys at Amesome GTI that i should use shortened drop links for clearance of the ARB.

You're gunna wanna change the Droplinks when you put Coilovers on anyways so you might as well buy the shorter mondeo Droplinks whilst you're on, I didn't when I fitted mine but have changed them now, wish I did it the first time lol
