Its not damaged! I just want to replace it with a new with white stitching like my new steering wheel, but i dont know how to replace it.

Ooooh dear.  Sorry I can't help with that other than to suggest calling out the dealer/breakdown service.

you may have sorted it by now, but...

on my previous cars, (ford, mazda and renault), the plastic around the leather gator of the hear stick unclipped with some force, and it all came out. Knob on top (all manual gearboxes BTW) unscrewed first, then leather gator and surounding plastic lifted over the gear change mechanism

Edit: Just had a look in my car, a manual though. The leather part does pull away with some effort. You should be able to see the clips on your new one. I started at the front and worked my way around.

Mine has a sturdy steel clip holding the knob on top, unlike my previous cars which just unscrewed. You may be able to get this off, but i didnt try to hard as I dont really want it off
