Hi, finally got my Octavia and have done around 3000km within three weeks. The car works superbly and haven't noticed anything wrong with it, not even the "famous" mispositioned steering wheel

However there is something strange that bothers me: Have you ever noticed a loud gurgling sound coming from the fuel tank? And hey, I don't mean that you have to push the pedal hard to get it sing... No, this gurgle is similar to something what could be described as a carton with a too small mouth so that air doesn't get into carton and that makes the fluid to gurgle as it is poured. Very difficult problem to explain but the sound should be familiar to everyone by the example.

The gurgling sound is so loud that it can be heard even if you stood three, four meters away from the car. It appears occassionally, and only after a little longer ride as the car is stopped and mains are off.

So, what makes this gurgling sound? I am 100% sure it comes from the fuel tank. Excuse my rusty English - however I hope you got the point right.

EDIT: Tried to edit the Additional Information but seems to be impossible so the Tech Spec is all wrong - Half Fabia and the other half Octavia.

Never heard that sound afterwards... Can't understand where it came from and what was the cause. Never mind, everything's going strong and I am very satisfied. I'll let you know if things go worse but this far I am very happy with the purchase.
