Amundsen Bluetooth Upgrade

Featured Replies

I've been thinking about adding bluetooth to to the HU but am unsure what to do. Do I add an additional module (which one) or replace the HU altogether either with a 3rd party brand , a Amundsen + (with bluetooth and DAB.)  or Columbus.

Other than a cheaper third party options there doesn't seem to be many cheap options for integrated Bluetooth.

Does anyone know what module will be required to add Bluetooth to the Amundsen or any other recommendations?

That's what I thought.  Might just buy a Amundsen+ with BT   and fit the microphone! (and sell the amundsen.)

If you're not OCD about the unit itself, look for an RNS315 from VW or SEAT. The differences are only cosmetic: Skoda's buttons are green not red, the menus are green not red and the startup splash screen has the Skoda logo instead of VW / SEAT. The Skoda units are usually more expensive though :S :S

I found these ones:

....also has the reverse camera connection......if you like another project/gadget ;) ;)

Does anyone know whether the standard Sat Nav roof aerial has a DAB connection?  The existing aerial is a Shark fin + stubby screw in aerial.
