After the recent incident with a car hitting our yeti on the motorway (story to follow soon) although was not our fault.

It did highlight the blame culture and increasing possibilities for crash for cash incidents and also peace of mind.

So I have just got a roadhawk camera for a cheap price off ebay and would like to hard wire it in. What I don't want is it to be on permanently I just want it to come on with the ignition.

Because this camera starts to record as soon as power is supplied otherwise I would never remember to switch it on.

So does anyone know of a circuit that is only lev with ignition turned on and if so is it a easy Mod/fit to do or more of a professional fitment.

I would use the 12v socket but this stays live while the car is switched off which is not great.
