Hi everyone, I have a 53 plate octavia and want to be able to use my cycle carrier, therefore I need to have a standard 7 pin socket for my light board. What's the easiest way to acheive this?

It would wire in the exact same as the wiring for a towbar,

so if you search on here, theres probably a diagram somewhere

If you aren't fitting a towbar (guess you have a 'hang on' carrier) then you will also need to somehow attach the socket to the crash bar of the car.  There is a gromet behind the crash bar you can route the cable through.

 

Most people use scotch-lock connectors in the loom near to the CD changer.
