Columbus Sat Nav, Adding your own POI's

I have a brand new Superb Elegance (2 days old but not bragging)and want to add my own POI's on the Columbus unit. It has an SDHC socket, is it possible to load your own POI's via SDHC or Disc and what format should the files be? This function is greyed out on the POI menu but definately there.

I have 2013 MY working fine with user installed POIs, just remember that the maximum number of POI categories is limited - cant remember exact number, (each category can contain many locations so it may be a case of combining if required) 

 

And don't forget the final stage of the import process which is to select which POIs to show from the SETUP - MAP page.
