Fault Code Assistance

Featured Replies

I purchased a fault code reader as warning light kept appearing. would be grateful of any advice as to what exactly is causing the following faults and how to rectify and expected cost.

Eng 16726 - Camshaft position sensor

ABS - 18265 - Malfunction indicator light

ABS - 01314 - ECU - No communications

It is a 56 plate 1.2 fabia, seems to be running fine.although only used for short journeys and it was my dads and only done 14000 miles.

Anyone any ideas how I can fix the faults?

Did you check all the faults listed on the rosstech website, once you have fixed the faults (physically) the eml light and codes will stop

  • Check Wiring from/to Camshaft Position Sensor (G40)
  • Check Camshaft Position Sensor (G40)
  • Check Timing
Possible Solutions
  • Check CAN-Databus Wiring/Connectors from/to Engine Control Module
  • Check Measuring Value Blocks (MVB)
    • Usually Measuring Value Blocks (MVB) 125+ show the current Communication Status
