Good to be here and some newbie questions

Featured Replies

Hi, My Son just started work and has bought his first car. I suggested a Polo, as we have always had VWs in the family. My mate suggested a Seat Ibiza or Fabia, as they are just as good as the Polo but better value. Ended up with a 2003 Fabia Classic 1.2 with 53,000 miles, 4 new tyres and new brake pads. Drives like a new car. I didn't think he would be able to get a 2000 reg car for the money he had, let alone a 2003.

Now for the newbie questions:

I know there is no Haynes manual, however can you point me in the right direction for this info (1.2, 3-cyl engine):

Where is the oil filter - is it under the large plasic cap, just above the alternator?

Where is the air filter - is it under the large plastic engine cover?

How do you remove the engine cover?

Where is the cabin filter?

Thats all for now.

TIA

Rog

Cabin filteris in the passenger foot well it runs front to back just to the left of center consol. It has a slide bottom and then wiggles out.

Not sure about rest, but if the air filter in plastic engine cover you have to take off cover and access filter from underside.

Welcome Rog.

Sorry, know nothing about Furbies but you'll get your answers soon enough on here!
