bonnet lifters

Featured Replies

Yeah i have,

But i ended up getting 2 kits as you have to bend the top of them slighly and i got abit giddy and snapped one,

From memory the self tapping screws arn't much cop either, i drilled mine out and tapped a thread into inner wing so i could use the spare 2 threaded bolts,

They do work quiet well once fitted but there not a plug and play by any means

Have these fitted to mine (need vauxhall corsa B ones)

As stated they are fit direct as you need to bend the top ball joint with pliers or tap with a hammer to be able to get the bonnet to close and bonnet lifter to compress correctly without hitting wing.

You also need to file out a bit of the lifter to stop the ball joint hitting it.

But easy to do and well worth it.

here's mine

Mine are like yours bowders but a rusty version through neglect lol and one stud has snapped so only one strut works,I'll have to try and source a new stud as the bonnet holds up on one strut for a short while then tried smashing my head in haha

Slotted the ballend on my struts for greater clearance but didn't take images.

Used struts recommended on Brisky but forgot where they came from, silly old fart aren't I!
