Hi a friend of mine has asked me for help but I have no clue about dsg gearbox's. He has had the car for 6 hours it's a 1.4tfsi seat ibiza with that 7 speed dsg box, and there is no revers and it skips 2nd 4th and 6th gear when driving in any mode. All I know is the gears that are being skipped are on the second input shaft but what would be making the car have this problem.

This is why I love a manual gearbox a lot less hassle lol

First thing would be a fault check of the DSG gearbox, if one clutch pack is down - I'd expect a fault thrown. Is it out of warranty ?
