Having had a close shave when a mindless idiot pulled out of a layby into my path when I was doing 60mph causing me to test the ABS for the first time, I've been thinking of installing a dash cam. Has anyone else installed a camera, if so which one, and what are your thoughts about these cameras?

It is a very simple good quality DVR.

I have owned a few dash cams, and the best I have found (by far) is the E-Prance GT550W. It is a rebranded (exactly the same as a) iDOD LS330W, but considerably cheaper. Unlike most dash cams it is also pretty good at night.
