Bodyshop...

Featured Replies

Casually driving down the M25 in the Mk3 VRS today when I see something bounce off the back of a flatbed in front of me. Then a couple or knocks from the front bumper followed by a large 6inch long bolt coming to rest on the bonnet. It managed to rest there for about 30 seconds before rolling back down the bonnet, down the wing and back onto the carriageway.

Anyway once stopped I've got a small crease / crack in the paint on the lower bumper / splitter area. The bolt has then hit another part of it casing some deep scratches. Then up onto the bumper next to the number plate and then next to the grille this time causing three small gouges from the thread of the bolt. From there it's taken a small chunk from the bonnet next to the badge. And then into the bonnet causing a 2 cm chip down to the metal rolling off causing a 6 inch long scratch.

As it's not to 1500 miles on yet to say it has pi)£&d me off is an understatement.

I know it's hard to tell without pictures but anyone got any idea or a price to fix. And recommendations for a quality place in Milton Keynes

I know its no consolation but my mates dad has the new mk3 it was a week old when the council took the back window out while changing the street light and a day or two later then some numpty went too fast round corner, went up the embankment, flipped it and bounced upside down off the car bonnet. But gutted for you as guessing you have to foot the bill for ours though.?

Bad news mate

Did you get the number of the flatbed?

Probably difficult to prove though!!

Google is your friend BTW in finding a bodyshop in your area

Been all over google. I'm considering chips away as they are all only small. I've put some touch up in at the moment and taken some photos.
