Vrs hazard lights.

Featured Replies

I've never noticed this before but I've just been rushing around and had to brake hard at the end of a motorway slip road and I noticed my hazard lights were flashing once I had stopped.

I know a lot of high performance cars have brake light flashers.

And other performance cars do have hazards that flash under heavy breaking.

I've just never noticed this on a vrs can anybody else confirm or deny this.

it's the emergency stop/ hard braking which triggered the hazzards to flash. Our Yeti does it too, it's not just a vRS thing ;)

It's getting more common that if you brake hard and suddenly, your hazards are activated and/or your brake lights flash rather than showing steadily. It's moer of a "newer car" thing thing than anything to do with "high performance" cars.

It's also an option on VCDS. I have it activated on my Monte and that is far from a performance car! I believe Citroën were the first to do this some years ago iirc

my old citroen C2 used to do it, and my grande punto...... much more common than you may think ;)

Cool. Like the old saying goes "you learn something new every day"

I saw it first on performance cars and just made an assumption they were the cars that came up with the idea.
