Problem at 100km

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

My uncle has a Skoda and he says at the speed of 100km the car losses power and can't go over that speed

Does anyone know what might be the problem in the car?

Thanks in advance

Not without more onfo.

What car......................

It's a diesel Skoda but i'm not sure of the model, The problem with the car is that the acceleration at 60 miles is so weak.. there is a noticeable weakness in performance.

I asked Mr. Google and i got so many answers like clogged Catalytic Converter, spark plug, spark plug wires, fuel filter etc

This will take forever to pinpoint the problem ;/

Thanks

Sorry late reply.  Hopefully someone has set you on the right track already.

If it is a Diesel it will not be the Spark Plugs, or Catalytic converter. No Spark Plugs or Cat are fitted,   (DPF might be)

(If it is a Diesel and he is putting in Petrol then there is a Problem.)

So Diesel Fuel Filter, Diesel Particulate Filter, and then the usual things that need checked if it is a Diesel Engine.

He needs to visit a Qualified Mechanic or an Experienced DIY er.
