  1. Good to hear. I work in a motor spares and fit most bulbs for free but I am amazed at how many we get in with incorrectly fitted bulbs.
  2. First thing to do is check the bulb is in correctly.
  3. How did you pay. If credit card then you can claim it back from them.
  4. Be no good for me as I don't have a photo licence. Are they asking for a copy of the licence or just access to the information. You can get a code from the DVLA so they can check the details. If any ask me to send a copy of the licence i would just go elsewhere as they don't need to see it. https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
  5. Spray a bit of wd40 around the exhaust hanger and slide a screwdriver in and prise it off the rubber. Can be stiff but should come out. As for exhaust sound ok but shop around but you should be able to get aftermarket std fit pipes. Or look around for a secondhand Miltek or something similar.
  6. Sorry not been on for a few days. I was just curious as I have an 09 plate pfl TDI estate and the apart from the seats, steering wheel, etc the interior is the same as my 07 Elegance.
  7. If the DPF has been removed it should be an MOT fail now. Soon the test stations will have new equipment that will know if its been done and wont be reliant on a visual check. If you really want a 4x4 then look for an older 1.9pd 4x4.
  8. Yes normally the same oil but the variable service schedule (circa 20k) is more for people who do big mileage. When I used to run company cars I ran 4 Skoda's and did around 50k a year so it had a service twice a year. So yes you could run it longer but for what an oil change cost's if you do it yourself it's just not worth it. I can get Millers C3 5w30 which is up to spec and a decent filter for under £30 and it's a 20 min job.
  9. For the sake of £30 for good quality oil and a filter then yes do it every year.
  10. Well I can confirm it can be done from the top but a real pain in the backside.
  11. Hi everyone. So I had a major oil leak this week and thought it was the oil cooler so I removed the oil filter housing and cleaned everything down and refitted with a new cooler. But on starting it I found the actual leak. It's the feed pipe from filter housing to turbo. Anyone know if you can get to the feed pipe at the turbo end from the top of the engine bay or do I need to go from underneath.
  12. Your assumption IMO is correct about winter wheels. For years now I have always had a set of winter wheels and summer wheels. My current winter wheels are a set of Mercedes Borbet 16 inch alloys that have winter tyres fitted. I picked them up last summer for a bargain £82 off ebay. They did great last winter and will see me through this winter as well. They do have a few scuffs and a bit of kerb rash on them but they look ok and I am not worried if I damage them further in bad conditions.
  13. Shocks are a wear and tear item so it's more likely they are worn and old not faulty. Maybe get a second opinion but as we don't know the year and mileage it's hard to say.
  14. You need to go on Landyzone for this kind of info really. https://www.landyzone.co.uk/forum/
