Right, i can get a detachable westfalia towbar and skoda genuine o.e.m specific loom for trade price, im wanting to trailer a track car about, the loom ONLY comes in 13 pin, which is not a problem as i have an adaptor here from 13 pin - 7

The thing is, i have not got towbar prep from factory, so im unsure where this loom plugs in - has anyone had to do this without towbar prep?

Im trying to do as much research as i can and done the search on here, but it seems everyone has had towbar prep in hindsight, i havent.

If you have a vehicle specific wiring kit with a plug on the end then it will have to go from the rear to the front of the car and, I believe, into the canbus controller under the dashboard.

Hi Ian, yeah it is genuine wiring kit direct from one of skoda's suppliers, I was unsure wether it would plug in at the back of the car or not, as I have no towbar preparation pack as far as im aware.

 

was hoping that it was standard to have a plug sitting In the boot ready to be connected to the towbar loom :(
