VCDS to desactivate Front Doors Safe Mode

Featured Replies

First of all, sorry for my poor french english .....

I have a Fabia Combi (1.9 TDI - 2006)

I have a problem with the passenger door that stucks locked. I can not open it anymore.

I have fund on internet that this may be a problem with the safe mode (Doors automatically close when you leave the car open for a couple of minutes). This mode can be de-sactivated by locking the car twice within 2 seconds. Then, when I open the car, the passenger door opens. But closing the doors re-activate the safe mode.

It works for some days, but now, it does not work anymore, and I can not use the passenger door anymore.

I have the VCDS cable. Using the module 46, and looking at the Measure Blocks (08), Block 9, I can see that the 2 front doors are in Safe Mode. But using the Basic Settings, I can not change it.

Does anyone knows if it's possible to permanently de-sactivate this Safe mode and how to do it ?

Thanks for your assistance.

Franck

Do you mean "Anti hijack" by "safe mode"-  You can turn on and off the auto locking in the adaption section of channel 46.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I don't mean "Anti hijack". I have fund how to turn it on or off in the adaptation section.

Anti Hijack close doors when speed is more than 15 km/h.

Safe mode close the door when you park and leave the car open. You can not open it from outside neighter inside. You must use the remote.

My passenger door seems stucked in this "safe mode"....

You have a faulty door lock/controller. That's why "It works for some days, but now, it does not work anymore"

is it a "central" controller, or a controller located in the passenger door that I can change by myself ?
