1.9 TDI DSG jerky start?

Featured Replies

This is not a Skoda question, but I thought I might as well ask. ;)

My father just bought a 2008 VW Caddy with the 1.9 TDI DSG6 drivetrain. It has almost 290,000 km on it, but drives really well and gearchanges are impeccable. EXCEPT when starting form a standstil, once the engine is warm. If you don't take it really easily off the line, it drops the clutch with a jerk.

And like I said, it shifts perfectly once the car is rolling. The gearbox behaves better than my 17000km 1.4 TSI DSG7, with faster and smoother gearchanges.

Any ideas? Does it need to be re-learned or something?
