Scirocco stranded

Featured Replies

Evening all,

My brothers scirocco has stopped and we're stuck just off the ainley top roundabout near Huddersfield.

Engine has thrown up fault codes for cylinder 4 misfire p0304 and fuel pressure regulator p2293.

Can anyone help as neither of us have breakdown cover at the moment (recently lapsed)?

Any of your friends with AA as this person will be covered and car would be recovered

Cylinder 4 misfire sounds like a coilpack issue to me. Would be my first thing to check anyway.

Fuel pressure reg, check http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/18725/P2293/008851 as that gives a decent run down of things to check.

Best of luck!

Ring the AA up and re-join, simples.

At a bit  of a premium rate though granted.

If its a 1.4tsi it sounds like the high pressure fuel pump....or atleast its the same codes as mine threw up

It's a 2l. Rac are recovering as we speak.

Surprisingly, torque app and a £3 app read the same codes as the £600 gear in the van.

Change of coil didn't make it run any better. Still a bag of spanners.

Will see what dealer say in the morning.
