Skoda Xtreme 19" wheels

Featured Replies

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows what width these wheels are?  are they a 19 x 7J and if so what tyre size can i get away with using.  I know that they suggest using a 225/35/19 but they are going on a new yeti and the low profile would not look correct.  i have been to a tyre specialist today who said that i could probabally get away with a 245/40/19.  Can anyone confirm if this is correct.

many thanks

I Believe they are 7,5x19.

No..Too big.

225/35/19 is the correct size for the offset of the wheels I believe

Check out the following website

You can experiment with differing tyre widths and profiles, along with offsets and get a good indication as to what will fit.

Quick Google suggests that tires up to 245 wide can be fitted to a 7.5j width rim. The extremes are 7.5j x 19", so you would ideally need to a profile of tyre that will give you a rolling circumfrance the same size (within a few %) of your existing wheel set up. Use the site above to do that.

The offset has no bearing on the width of tyre that can be fitted but will dictate where the wheel/tyre sits within the wheel arch. If you do fit wider tyres to the extremes you may need a lower offset (or spacers) to move the inside edge of the tyre away from the suspension strut. I wouldn't have thought clearance on the outer edge of the wheel and tyre would be an issue on a yeti.

One major consideration is the popularity of a tyre size (if you have a fee choices) as the dictates price. The 225/35/19 tyres specced for the extremes by Skoda are a fairly rare size and much more expensive than other similar sizes.

Of course offset is a consideration...otherwise they will rub on the wheel arch

Is it just me but I think the extremes look woeful on the Octy :drunk:
