Thanks,

Looks like a universal DIY job to me

Judging by the home made bent bracket I think it's a DIY job mate.

Shouldn't be hardly any oil in it. If it was me and I was going to use it, I'd take it off and clean it out with degreaser etc. Make sure it's dry before putting it back though.

Www.bodgejob.co.uk sell them

Ps. Looks as if it's been sprayed for the stealth look.

Hmm, not sure what to do now as quite a pool of oil came out and i've no idea how much more is in there as i stood it up to stop it leaking out. :(

I don't think that's spray, i think its oil!!

Ohhh dear, it will still be usable.. Just do the elephant mod if you refit it and that will eliminate the oil inside

How is there oil on the outside of the cooler lol?

On closer inspection, it is spray paint. :D

Already running the elephant mod on mine. :)

I always did like the 'half stealth' look

Just held it to let anymore oil run out and nothing came, so it may still be game on for this....

Just got to tackle the exhaust now... :(

Give it a good clean and all the pipework and it will be good as new! Just attach it a bit better than pictured lol

If not you can sell it to meeeee   ;)

Drown the intercooler in petrol, that will clean it. I left mine to soak for 24 hours then flushed it put with water then left that to drain for a while :)

It has got a slight dent in the bottom, so it's a bit compressed in. That shouldn't matter, should it??

IMO it either holds pressure or it's ****t! :)

Take it the car this came off the turbo had blown? If so do you good job of it like dan has said and don't half arse it as there could be metal in there and that's worse than the oil.

BossFox is going to check the turbo out but it wasn't reported as having blown when he bought it. I'll give it a damn good clean, along with the pipework i managed to get.

absolutely no help whatsoever here John but when I was scrolling down, I noticed there was a spec of dirt on my screen which made one of your smiles look like Hitler and when it was laughing, it had a tooth gap :D

:D Reminds me of an episode of Father Ted. :)

I didn't get your hubs, BossFox is going to bring them to Combe for you.

I couldn't really remove them as the car needs to be moved to get the exhaust off. Sorry mate. :(

I didn't look at it that closely and it's in the shed now. I'll give it a look over when i give it a clean.

ahhhhhhh that's fantastic, mate

Did he mention what I owe him?

bloody great episode that one :D

I still think it has been sprayed not oil, you can see where it's been sprayed under the crash bar or it's been masked off, even the silicone and pipe is black, surely the oil wouldn't have got there

Edit: just read the full thread and saw you said it was paint
