does weight affect ride hight?

Featured Replies

Just a thought but after carrying alot of weight in my octavia estate over the last few week i have noticed now when empty it seams to sit lower. This could be my imagination but made me think could this affect standard ride hight for cars that carry alot of weight over cars that might only carry 2 passengers?

You mean that now you've taken the weight out you think it hasn't come back up to where it should be?

Mine is lowered and, although it took a while after fitting to settle, it now returns to its normal position straight after taking any heavy weights out.

Yeah its deffinatly not as low as it was with weight in. Just i have always thought it sits a bit high and was waiting to be able to afford some fresh shocks and springs but recently i look at it and think it looks ok and ill save my money. Might just be me. Lol

maybe the bushes have compressed a bit?

Hi, some people actually pay for a lowering kit and you've got it for free ... Yeaah! That is saving money in my book!

Of course it does, haven't you ever climbed aboard a fat chick!
