egr vs ccv mod

Featured Replies

As per title I recently cleaned out egr and boy was it filled with crud took ages to clean!!

I have now blanked the egr running wayyy better :)

I heard lots of peeps doing the ccv mod also,,, my question is Will egr blank alone eliminate crud?

Also the ccv must serve a purpose? I don't wanna b venting to atmosphere

Anyone?

No because there will still be oil vapours being put back into the system by the CCV. I'm putting on a catch can to reduce/eliminate it.

Is there a guide for fitting the catch can?

Which is a good one to go for?

Look on eBay you can get them from there, if you use the search button there should be a guide, basically you want the crank case breather going through the catch can then a feed back to the intake so it sucks the vapor out but the oil will get caught in the catch can

I was tempted by an ebay job but read they are basically a can and nothing much more (no actual proof of that though), the ones from the group buy are so expensive as they are the proper job e.g full of stuff to help water vapour/oil condense ...though I may have made that up...
