Does anyone use a Gooseneck in their car.

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am asking for some advice about whether a gooseneck holder is stabler enough to use when driving.

I am intend to put one in my new Yeti but I don't want to go to the expense only to find in vibrates when the car is in motion, or when you touch the satnav device screen and it's not sturdy enough that it moves making finger touches difficult.

It's just the gooseneck bit I am interested in as I would like to bring the Satnav closer to me than the dashboard. The main part of the mount will be a Brodit Yeti mount off the windscreen pillar.

Thanks for any advice

When the plastic clip on my old satnav broke, I used a PDA holder that had a goose neck and it worked fine and came in handy in Ireland when I used the sat nav by mounting the goose neck on the small triangular window on the toyota auris rental car after the rental company told me not to mount a suction mount on the windscreen...

I have something like this for my phone in the fabia, it's a long flexible neck anyway - But i have it positioned in such a way that the feet of it sit on the dash top, and that's ultra stable, even with the way my car vibrates....
