Bump stops. Lowest setting.

Featured Replies

Is it safe to run coilovers on their lowest setting ( with helpers still in )

Apart from ride comfort. Are there any problems?

Is this is what's known as riding on the bump stops?

Cheers.

My FK coilovers have just over an inch left if I wanna go lower and thesmaller springs are fully compressed already

I went over a big short speed bump in a car park yesterday and it fealt like it hit the bump stops, I think they can take it but will obviously wear out much quicker the lower you go.

What coilies you got? and do they have internal bump stops?

FK streetlines. ( same as you I'm guessing )

I find the back ones have loads of thread left and go more than low enough. But the fronts just aren't low enough.

I have two threads left and yes okay I am low arch gap is not even one finger. But I won't lower lol.

I don't know about internal bump stops. I don't even know where the cars bump stops are :/

could maybe machine the alloy top cups down a bit, then aftermarket top mounts for a bit of extra hight and some camber!

I've cut my stops. I've still got 1.5-2" of threads left aswell ;)
