Cleaned the car last week and noticed this morning that the passenger side is covered in what seems to be oil. I checked the engine oil and all is well and it's all clean so i'm guessing there is no leaks. It looks like someone has just sprayed oil over the side of the car.

 

Anyone have any on what it could be?

Cv joint?

The car has only done 12,000 miles so surely it can't be that?

Driven through an oil spillage? Possibly splashed up the side of the car.

Probably come off another car or the road.

Id clean it off and see if any comes back

Gave it a clean this morning and it had taken me over an hour getting all the house off the side of the car and wheels. Went out in the car earlier and don't have anything so must of driving right through an oil leak somewhere.
