knocking

Featured Replies

After some pointers where to look next

As your standing still, first gear, as you go to lift the clutch off there's a right knock, often more with some direction other than straight ahead

Not the top Mount bearings

Checked anti roll bar including link rods,

All Bush's are Polly bushed, engine mounts fine, wheel bearings okay,

I think its a fly wheel issue, but it's only when moving off, no other whines or noises while moving including changing up or down the box, no matter how brutal you are with releasing the clutch,

Any suggestions or ideas would be great as I'm loosing my will to live with it now

Thanks

Danny

Exhaust against the body? Or a damaged exhaust mounting.

Did you check the dog-bone bushes for engine rock pulling away ?

You did say you checked engine mounts, I know.

Dog mounts fine no play, exhaust doesn't catch either

Thanks dan

Could be clutch/flywheel as your putting strain on them when setting off.

Could try setting off in 2nd to see if it gets any louder.
