Heat shrink on boost pipes

Featured Replies

Just popped a boost pipe again its not the top section but not long had the bottom elbow replaced, are the clips suppoosed to be replaced aswell?. I know self tappers are used but has anyone used heat shrink and if so where do you get it from. Cheers

I think Korban has used shrink wrap. Might be worth looking up his build thread or dropping him a PM.

I need to do something with mine. My pikey cable tie fix worked for about a day.

Where do people actually put the self tappers in? Seems dodgy!

I looked a putting screws in mine but I couldn't get the access so I ended up cable tying it up. So far it's been fine.

The new elbow had blown out of the alloy pipe! Its all back together but got to go oxford tomorrow! The question is wether to cable tie or self taper it and would on screw hold it as can't get access to put more in. Cheers

I used heat shrink on mine, got it from ebay. Make sure you have access to a heat gun as using the hair dryer won't work as it doesn't get hot enough

What size and how much was it?
