Just wondered what I can be looking for with respect to an armrest for my fabia vrs. Do I need to look for a fabia one? Or will the mk4 golf one fit for example. Going to have a look around scrapper for one as I dont want to pay a shed load.

Looks almost the same but they have a different base.

So it wont fit then. Is it literally just the one from dealers then? So Im paying a fortune if I want one.

You can get brand new one from Skoda for around £130.00 in total and fit it yourself ask heard it's an easy job.

Yeah was just trying to find out if I could get it cheaper. Looks like I will have to stump up the cash.

If you lucky you might find one on eBay going or around £100 second one but tbh I would rather buy brand new one and add £30

Oh yeah definitely worth paying the extra. Cant see anyone buying second hand at that price.

Fitting it is very simple especially if you got the manual and illustrations. Still if not we can help out with the process.

My opinion is you keep looking, don't go for half measures. You will find eventually an armrest at a fair price.

Iv been trying to justify the £130 for a while now.

Unfortunately all the cheaper alternatives seem rubbish.

there is a fabia arm rest on ebay at the moment for £50 used. it needs some parts ordered from skoda, the guy says it should cost £40. this may be an option for one of you lot. 

 

Im over the arm rest thing now, its way too much for me to even try and justify, it didn't seem to bother me that much when i drove home at the weekend (600mile round trip)
