Got one at last!

Featured Replies

Yes, surprisingly capable machines.

If you want to tighten it up a bit more in the corners you can fit uprated Golf Anti Roll Bars

You found one at last. Well done.

I like white....

Congratulations. I hope you and your new Yeti will be very happy together.

But I think you are going to need more than one lunch break to figure things out - I'd had mine six months and was still finding new things!! And from some of the other posts on this forum I don't think I'm alone in this.

Happy reading.

That's how I felt after demo's, road tests, reading a lot ( especially BRISKODA ) and pursuading my wife.

She actually likes it now for the comfort, practicality and economy of running BUT she can't forgive its looks. I love it but she calls it ' osklivy' it's Czech - look it up!

Like you, ' got you at last ' was my reaction too.

You won't regret it, 170 diesel is wot every Yeti aspires to be ( or is that the owners? ).

Result! Glad your tireless searching finally paid off.

Enjoy

Well during my lunchbreak I managed to pair my phone at least, and figure out how to get to the various setup menus...

Other thing I was impressed with this morning (unsurprisingly) was the traction out of junctions on wet roads. I could be pretty brutal with the throttle and it just launched without any fuss.

And yesterday, while fitting the kids seats in the back, I removed the centre rear seat and moved the outer seats inwards.

I thought it might be nice for the kids, help them see forward a bit more, but there's not a massive amount of sideways movement - guess it's just to give larger adults a tad more elbow room.

At least it saves probably 10-20kg weight...

Well after quite some time looking, I've finally got a Yeti :)

I bought one from another member on here, and collected it yesterday.

2011 CR170 Elegance, in Candy white, with Annapurna alloys, 28.5k miles.

Pleasantly surprised how agile it is on the twisties; I thought that going to a Yeti from a Focus (one of the better handling cars around) it would roll and understeer more, but it's much better than I thought it would be.

Think I'll be spending my lunchbreak sat in the car with the handbook, figuring stuff out!

If you can make sense of the handbook in a lunchbreak you're a better man than me! I've been trying to do that for 3 years and thought the FL manual would be an improvement, definitely not! :wall:

It is a very good car though. :giggle:

The increased traction of the 4x4 system has impressed me the most over my previous Octavias, especially as the last one was the 1.4TSI which had a relatively light engine sitting over the front wheels and span like a top on wet roads when trying to make a spirited exit from a junction.

The second and third most noticeable differences are the higher driving position and the increaesed cabin height. I got into my dad's Octavia the other day and nearly knocked my head off!!!

You will also enjoy the slightly higher point of view which makes it easier to see traffic ahead on open roads and makes progress easier.
