P2015 error Implausible Signal - Intermittent - MIL ON

Been getting this error off and on for a short time but now its more on than off.

Car drives fine and only a lumpy idle sometimes. Although it has stalled a few times today.

Having searched on Google it seems to be another fairly common issue with the TSI engine, has anyone on here experienced this issue out of warranty? and what would you think my chances are of getting Skoda to contribute towards any costs? this is our 4th Skoda and 8th VAG  car.
