Any better inlet manifolds?

Featured Replies

Fitting my new turbo tomorrow and since it's off I thought I would remove pretty much anything els the air passes trough.

In doing so I've removed the complete inlet manifold, got me thinking if there's any better ones to fit?

It's sitting soaking in the parts cleaner over night and will have it shining tomorrow before refitting.

Also tempted to paint it red or somthing! Just to add another 10bhp ;)

Passat one?

I have seen a tubular one once upon a time!

I cant remember where though

I use stock one.  Not much gains to be had as you can only do so much unless you port out the head and the inlet tracts to match (which I have had done :D)

But stock intake is pretty decent.  All the non PD boys tend to fit the PD intakes as a mod as they do breathe better.

The passat one was the one I had in mind but wanted to know what everyone els had, don't fancy being the guinnie pig on the fabia!

I'll stick to just cleaning out the standard one and getting it shiny as possible then!

You wouldn't be.. If the Passat one is the one that points the wrong way... IYSWIM, someone's already done it.

I only say passat as thats what the darkside cars have, aside from them I've never seen anyway swap them

Look at silky16v's polo in cars for sale for a passat manifold fitted.

IIRC Devonutopia runs one too?

He says he runs stock, he replied further up on the thread.

Couldn't really see any decent pictures on his for sale add either.

Will put the original one back on now it's shiny again, best see if it runs first before spending any more money!
