Waiting times

Featured Replies

When ordering my vRS this morning the salesman said that waiting times for a vRS hatch has just been announced by Skoda of 12 weeks and an estate is 20 to 25 weeks

They must have done something quite dramatic if they do indeed start to achieve that. It's been more like 24-26 weeks for hatch and estate.  For example, I ordered mid December (tsi manual hatch) and it isn't yet built.

It's been like that since late last year.  I ordered Sept 13 and picked up March 14

This site doesn't fill me with joy!! Ordered my Tsi hatch mid February....10 weeks tomorrow, and haven't been informed of a build week yet! I'd say reading some of the tales on here that the quoted times above are wildly optimistic!!

Most of us waited 20 weeks for our vRS Hatches, When will ordered them last year..

and only got a build week few weeks before it was built...

Ordered my VRS Hatch TSI on the 27th December it was built last week ,I had a week 19 build allocated in January which came forward to 16/17. My dealer has said the system is not always up to date they have had cars turn up that show they not even been built yet !

From my experience to date and reading the now hundreds of comments regarding build/delivery weeks I'd say you need to [realistically] be prepared for up to 30 weeks, certainly for the estate, and accept that it's nothing more than a lottery as to when in that time you'll take delivery!

Nail your salesman feet to the floor and tell him "he's suppling a loaner from day 1 of week 13" and you want it in writting.

If he can't give you that then, he's just ****ing in the wind sorry but, when it sounds/looks and smells like it, its bull****.

Indeed. Skoda really have no clue. Expected build dates are a complete lottery and their scheduling "systems" are seemingly in a total mess.

Just took delivery of my vrs tsi hatchback in corrida red with space saver wheel, sunroof, parking assist, heated seats and washer nozzles, ordered 22/11/13.very pleased with the car and worth the wait with 0%finance and free servicing.

Waiting times seems to be a lottery and a lot seems to depend on what the dealers have pre ordered in the system. We ordered on 22nd Feb and have a confirmed build week 18. To be honest we've been lucky as I think the dealer had an unallocated car in the system and they just changed the spec, vrs petrol hatch, only extras are a spare and sunroof and rio red. That said they were honest and upfront about the delivery waits and we aren't in a hurry, at time of order it was 19 weeks for a petrol hatch and 29 weeks for a diesel.

It took 8 weeks from ordering to my vrs hatch getting to the dealer! Originally quoted 16 weeks
