vRS unique parts?

Featured Replies

Other than the bumpers and seats does the vRS have other unique parts on it, or are they all interchangable with other spec levels?

Don't know why I'm asking as I'm not thinking of changing anything!!

wheels, brakes, engines, steering wheel, independent rear suspension is only on the vRS and 4x4 in the UK.  Probably a few other things........

The vRS will have unique suspension components and geometry Id expect compared to the regular cars, brakes and variable ratio steering the other obvious changes aside from the vRS only motor options.

Its essentially a re-bodied and stretched Golf 7 GTI/GTD, hence why they generally drive quite a bit better (certainly in terms of handling prowess) than the regular versions.

I have an Elegance estate and as nice as it is I wouldnt classify it as a brilliant handling car; my Mk2 vRS was alot better in this respect but the trade-off was a considerably harsher ride. The Mk3 vRS will no doubt be alot better than the Mk2 but will still have a harsher ride than the regular car, unless of course you equip a regular car with 18's and sports suspension then id expect the ride to be v similar.

OK, OK, stupid question.  I was thinking more along the Audi S / RS lines with slightly flared arches, etc

Spoiler.

Pedals?

Do any other models get the black headlining?

Fake exhaust outlets?

Not fake on mine, pfff. :P

I do think we're running out of VRS only parts though...

The love or hate sound generator.

(Now I have turned mine down to 50% its great only hear it in sport mode.)
