2000 miles to LeMans and back via 3 race tracks in a

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,
As some of you may already know, I am involved in a hair brained scheme to raise money for the charity, Special Effect.

Myself, and two friends are going to be racing to France and back on a 2000 mile trip, via 3 of Europe's most demanding racetracks and a number of mad cap challenges......all this in a BMW 7 series that cost us £500!!

We've been busy, prepping the car and taking on the non motoring challenges. Check out our blog here:

Special effect adapts computers and games consoles for the disabled so that they can have access to all the things we take for granted.

Legend! thanks a lot for donating!

I plan to do another update soon as we're doing the wheels in Black and the headlamps in Yellow, should bring the racing theme to life.

Then we've got the decals to sort out. So much to do, so little time :)

Another quick update guys, with just 2 weeks and 3 days left to go. We're racing against the clock to get this thing back on the road and tested for at least a week before we hit the track. Bodywork is all done, trim is going back into place....still need to paint the all the wheels.

Next week we're going to tax her and add the decals.
