Good roof bars and bike rack ? Any pictures about

Featured Replies

So i have a fairly expensive fixie bike I've build, And I'm looking for a good set up to carry it on the top of my car with . not stupidly pricey but quality stuff or even genuine skoda ?

Any pics of bikes on top ?

Cheers

Genuine Skoda is likely to be Thule or Atera with a premium added.

Punch in your car details at www.roofbox.co.uk and it will give you your options.

Ok il give that a go now cheers

I use thule bars and mounts with a halfords advanced bike rack.

Fits over big down tube, done about 2000 miles with it so far, no issues.

Had a tow bar mounted one previously which i preferred, easier on and off, less mpg effect and less wind noise. But not an option on vrs.

Recently fitted the Thule kit onto my car - Wingbars along with the 591 carrier.

Won't say what I paid, but working in the cycle industry certainly has its perks :)

I've got a thule kit but never used a bike carrier on top - only roof boxes.

I'm also after one of these.

Getting my bike next week and need one to carry mine and myates bikes about.

I got the original skoda bars off eBay second hand for £80 last year. There's usually some fir sale on there. I bought a pair of Thule bike carriers as well for similar money also from eBay new from a bike shop on there. The same carrier was £65 each from my local indie bike shop so a bit of a saving. There a clamp to the frame of the bike and straps around wheels. For the money I can't complain
