Featured Replies

Hi I have a skoda octavia vrs PD170. Recently had the engine management light come on. And attached is a pic of code. Done some searching and it comes back with exhaust pressure sensor G450 not working. Is it an easy swap and does any1 know part code. Cheerspost-108997-13987973475166_thumb.jpg

This will be what you're after http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-AUDI-DIESEL-G450-DPF-DIFFERENTIAL-PRESSURE-SENSOR-076906051A-/331000301476?_trksid=p2054897.l4275

Need to get it done quick too as with the pressure sensor not working the DPF will keep filling up without regenerating. Looking back in the history of mine this sensor packed in and resulted in the car needing a new DPF after just 58,000miles. Think the early fault prone ones were from US and the better ones are from Malaysia. Checked on mine and it had a Malaysian one fitted along with the new DPF.

Don't know how hard it is for fitting as I haven't done one but cant imagine it to be too hard. More than likely it'll need coding to the car though.

just an update for all,

Purchased a new Exhaust pressure sensor G450 from TPS in nottingham £53 or so. the replacement is built in Malaysia and not US.  Took about 10mins to swap over as there's not much room to get tools in and pipes are stiff.

once swapped plugged up to VCDS and you have to adapt it, heres a guide I found,

After fitting the g450 sensor adaption is simply as follows:
Select engine (01)
Login or coding 11
Type 30605 in the box and login.

Close controller, exit vcds. Switch ignition off ( i jumped out and locked the car for 30 seconds to be sure to send everything to sleep.

engine management light off yay and seems to run alot smoother no longer lumpy on pull off.
