vrs 2.0tsi exhaust request

Featured Replies

hi all

now after owning my car for a good long while now i have found that the stock exhaust is verily quiet and would like something bit louder. but my main issue after looking around i can't seem to find what i am after.

so my question is what bore size is best? as i have looked around and miltek is 2.75inch have seen that bcs is like 3inch and asking around custom exhaust fitters one has said to keep to the same 2.5inch bore but they can make it flow better and set the noise i want. my brothers friend can do a 3inch cat back at just around the 500 pound mark but know his work is amazing. so as you can see am abit lost atm and was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction.

thanks all

3"" is the way to go I'd say if your considering remap etc car will breathe better and in the future if you decide to upgrade performance it will help massively but if your keeping standard go with 2.75 bigger DP would also be an advantage but get exhaust done then get a custom remap will make huge difference

that is the way i am thinking so basically 3inch cat back exhaust and the way i see it a 3inch dp later on so then of course it will flow right as a remap is on the to-do list. as from what i have looked up with shark a stage 2 just requires a sports cat and a better air filter which is what i am doing anyways's but wasn't sure of bore size's :)

thanks all

Where abouts are you in the country (using Tapatalk)? On my 406 I went to MIJ in Walsall. Cost £300 but got exactly what I wanted and great customer service

Ipswich Suffolk buddy so a fair journey for me to basically Birmingham where as powerflow is only about half an hour at best from me or my brother's mate's workshop is abit further but thanks for letting me know :)

Yer that is a bit far from you. Also look on ebay for people breaking modified ones
