I spoke with Skoda about a replacement badge for my steering wheel and they've had a few enquiries but haven't been able to source one. Anyway I discovered with guys do and thought I'd mention it to anyone who maybe looking for one or similar:

Was it a Skoda Dealership parts desk person you enquired with about a replacement badge for a Skoda?

 

Odd they could not source one, surely they have no contact with Skoda.

Yeah George it was West End Garage in Edinburgh. I've come across that problem before that unless you've got a part number they can't find it using your reg or Chassis number. I've emailed cars-equipment for a part number and we'll see if I get a reply.

I wonder if the Dealer Principle knows the efficiency of the parts department?

Actually i think it is well known how hopeless they are, so it would be a surprise that those in charge do not know.

 

I understand Parts Departments that do not want to go checking parts numbers & hand that over for someone standing at the desk, so that they can go by online for a cheaper price,.
